The girl is ok, what you did to her eyes is icky. Take your time, close it for an hour and then look at it again.

No you didn't fail, IMO you could have made the color around her eyes more like how women apply their makeup, or very little color under the eye. Color on the lips would also be nice. I do like the woman herself, with the shadow cast on her face.

I was trying to focus on the eyes. and its not supposed to be a normal makeup application, its supposed to be overdone. w/e

Also, the two images come together way too abruptly. Make them blend a little more.
