No offense, Machette, but if you're going to enter a debate about firearms possession and all things related, you should take the time to do your homework on the subject: seeing as (so far) you have no fucking clue what you're talking about, I'll let you download and peruse the Gunfacts pdf before engaging in any sort of discussion with you. Besides, I'm not sure it would be worthwhile for me to do so as you seem to have your mind already made up.

I'm curious what you base that statement on. For instance, studies show that guns are used to stop crime far more (and I'm talking "times" as in mulitpluication - times as an individual instance) than they are used to commit crime. So if an item stops bad things from happening more than it helps bad things happen, how can it have more bad things about it than good? Just curious what you are referring to.

How can it have more bad things than good? Are you just plain ignorant? Where are these 'studies' that you refer to? And why would you ever think that guns are meant for good, they are made to harm or kill.

You should take a lesson from my friend Machette. It is possible to discuss opposing views without name calling. The points that I used are available in the FBI database. I'm still waiting to hear what facts you are using as a basis for your assertion.

... and guns are designed to do exactly what I said before - propel bullets at a high velocity.

and BTW, SoLiDUS, lay off Machette please. thx

That is what they do as a function. That's their action. Their purpose is totally different.

A Music cd is embedded data that is meant to send a signal to a speaker so it can emit sound waves in a certain point...while a purpose is to entertain a listener.

A guns purpose is to harm or kill. No if ands or buts about it. Do you really truly believe guns were designed to be a tool in a recreational activity...?

Pyro just owned joo. Without guns you'd be a more peaceful country. Nobody needs guns. As stated, they're used to harm or kill, theres no denying this.
Go watch Bowling For Columbine and come back bitchin at how he portrayed everything all wrong, theres jus no escaping some things. There'll always be gun lovers but when it boils down to things, we don't need em.
Theres always other ways............like...kissing..... angel:

Actually there are guns designed specifically for target shooting (a recreational activity). No harm. No kill. There are guns designed to fire smoke cartridges. No harn. No kill. My father used a gun to save his life and never fired it. No harm to anyone, but it saved his life.

A gun is designed to shoot bullets. How you use it says more about your purpose than it does the gun's.

As for us being a more peaceful country without guns, I doubt it.

1. I would be an orphan.
2. Cities that have banned guns have seen an increase in crime.
3. Poverty levels and drug use rates have more to do with crime rates than the amount of guns available.

Let's agree to disagree on the purpose of a gun, whether it be for self defense or for mayhem. The fact is where children under 10 are concerned, a child is 100 times more likely to die at a friends house with a pool than at a friends house with a firearm. Should we remove all pools from the populous?

That being said, I don't see a need for the average Joe to possess the firepower shown in the video.
