Default Pacific Theater - 08-29-2002, 11:51 AM

I love this game, But am I the only one who wants to see a Pacific Theater version? Wouldn't you like to be able to choose between a US Marine or an IJA trooper? Wouldn't you like to be in a jungle instead of a forest? I don't want to play BF1942, I want a Medal Of Honor Pacific Theater!!

I agree totally. But I think we would have uneven teams a lot with most being Allies! If I could yell "Banzai!" and charge with a sword, only to get ripped up by an MG, then I might be a %#!^~ Jap! lol

I'd love to see a pacific theater campaign.

I also think it would be balanced. The IJA would have great defenses and many players play just to "win" reguardless of the team. (though I just play for fun.)

Still, to be using a flame thrower or satchel charge to take out bunkers or caves, or storm the beach at Iwo Jima, Phillipines or Okinawa, or battle in the jungles of Guadal Canal.

That would be great. biggrin:

Also, perhaps this could be enhanced by the sticky bombs that are to be added in the expansion pack.

Has anyone played BF1942? I did for about 3 hours, and while it's different from MOH, it's still a lot of fun. Get the demo if you can.

I would love to see a Pacific Theatre version. Jungle fighting, beach storming, flag raising - it would be fun. Also I work for a Japanese company and there are many nights that I would love to be able to come home and relieve some stress by emptying a magazine or two into a few Japanese regulars. (all in good fun of course!) I've thought about forcing all of the Axis into the Japanese skin that I have but I like to see everybody in different uniforms so that I know who I'm shooting. biggrin:

Some one tried a pacific theater mod, but they were unsuccesful, the reason being is that the engine cannot support all the vegetaion which is a major bummer. What would a pacif theater mod be w/o all the tree's?
