That caused me some big problems when I first installed it. I have two internal drives and one USB hard drive that I use to back stuff up. The dang iPod stole the drive letter of the USB drive! It caused a mess that took me several days to fix.

maybe I was worrying for nothing but since this whole Sony thing came about I have less trust in any companies software. iPod has a huge intrest in Itunes so that in itself is enough to leave me skeptical

Are you oOo:'ing Stackem's distrust of Sony? I don't trust them anymore either. In fact, I bought several gifts this Christmas where I was first reaching for the Sony product and then changed to something else due to Sony's recent admission of putting spyware on their music CD's.

Did they actual put it there? I read the stuff on the CDs just made holes for spyware to get to your computer easier.
