I thought he got cocky after his freshman year in 2002, and thats why he left early. His good friend LeBron was gonna be straight out of high school and making a shit load of money, which is what Maurice really wanted to do. He saw that the NFL was discrimanating against the young players by making an age limit (something the NBA didn't have at the time), which is why he challenged the NFL. The suspension at OSU occured after he said he wanted to leave early for the NFL after his freshman year.

wrong, his suspension was for taking money, AKA cheating. then when he realized he fucked up he went to see if the NFL could bail his lame ass out of trouble. Well he found out that there are consiquences (sp?) for your actions
