The one piece of advise I'd give is to avoid a long first date. You said 12 hours... wtf m8? It's better to leave here (and yourself) wanting more at the end of the first date than to both be sick of each other. Plus, things might not go so well, and if you've made plans to spend 8 hours together, you'll both hate each other by the end of the night.

Like Zoner said, have a plan and be decisive. Just make sure the plan doesn't include 134984 hours of stuff to do.
