EDIT: and for the love of god DONT just cut down those ports to make the subs fit. The length of the ports is EXTREMELY important for the sound of the box, you cant just go cutting them, it will make it sound worse that it does origionally (I hate prefab bandpass boxes, they are extremely peaky and boomy)
Im using a 6th order BP, massive as fuck for a single 12' and all, but I have heard nothing like it in my life. I will post pics soon enough of all my new stuff.

Alpine CDA 9835 HU
Single Type R Woofer 12' (wired in series)
TT4300 Planet Audio Amp (powers the sub)
TT4200 Planet Audio Amp (powers components/ rear's).
CDT CL62 Components (with 504 chrossover upgrade)
Visonik Pro A Series 6x9
6th Order BP box. NOT prefab
Alpine Distribution Block/Alpine Type R RCA's

I find the CDT's a tad bright/... but THIS may be beacasue the db gain is set to 1 on the chrossover.. NOT sure really... Just wondering though JuJu... what is your opinion on Type X components.. I am thinking about selling my 62's for some X's... but I am not 100 on this yet.....

never dealt with the X's. I have the same CDT comps as you w/o the x-over upgrade and I love em. Your brightness is likely more attributed to the install. Try some different imaging is my advice, or maybe the type X is what you're looking for, they are supposed to be pretty laid back, but so are the classics, i dunno. My next upgrade would definitly be the HD series though, same price as the X's.

Short, you gotta post some pics of your system.

I have my sub yet its only partially fitted, as I dont have a clue what to do now. I'm gonna have to go to a shop and get it fitted for me. Probably when I get paid though, as I'm skint now.

I currently need to connect the remote cable (think its to the arial out the back of the stereo (should be fairly simple), reconnect my cig lighter, earth the amp, secure the amp, connect amp to sub. I'm a cable short though as my wiring kit didnt come with a second cable - I have a cable to connect either the positive or the negative wire, but dont have the other one.

Finally I need to tuck alll the wires under my flooring (once everythings connected).

Ya. I am going to try switching the chrossover tweeter gain button this weekend...(little button right on the chrossover itself). I know its not my EQ settings.... THey are low as it is. IF I ever get around to taking my door panels off....

Kick pods can't fit due to my clutch/big feet... BUT I am not really A fan of mounting them that way (yes I know it is the best imaging by far)..BUT I will get slush and crap all over them. and to be honest, Type R's compete quite well vs the 62's.

Here's some photos of mine.. Nothin too special, a single 10" sub, thats all you need to play flat and CDTs in kickpods I put together, Eclipse amp, Audiocontrol EQ, Audiobahn linedriver, extra yellow top battery in back aswell.

My pods actually dont get very dirty even in the winter, and with the amount of clear coat I put on, you can just wipe them clean and re-buff if needed each season. I also lost VERY little trunk space by mounting the sub up front, I know the black carpet looks terrible in the trunk, I'll probably get matching carpet at some point.

Looks really good man. Just one question though.. WHy use a JVC HU ? (is it an Arsenal unit ?)

Here are some pics of mine. (although you can't see the sub happy: )'

Amps
TT4300 and TT4200

I plan on making a zipper carpet colour to cover the 2 amps. Have a cutout to show the tops. Should look even better.

4300 powers the Woofer. Wired in Series. About 150wx2 per coil.

This is an older Day shot of the 4200 back when I my old enlosure and woofers. Better sight @ daytime.
Enclosure and Woofer

The odd thing was before I heard a REAL bandpass enclosure.. I completely hated them. Then Once I heard my first 6th order I fell in love. I wanted to even take a step up to an 8th order box... BUT trunk space limited me to think differently. This one is big enough as it is.

HU

Alpine 9835. To be honest ONE of the best non F1 units ever made period.

Swapped out the cluster and HVAC display panal. (Cavalier to Sunfire swap). The Sunfire cluster looks 100x better imo. The Cavalier one was an ugly green color.

Tweeter is on a slight angle, decent imaging despite the location. Looks stock as well

Visonik Pro "A" Series 3 Way 6x9's. (Handle 300 RMS). I never really have them on (faded to the front) unless I have passengers in the rear. THey sound fantastic though. Something Visonik has done right despite all the crap they have let loose.

MY hopes are to Sounddeaden the car, fine tune her a bit more and take a few SQ shows around these parts. Maybe even cut the 62's. I took the door off and checked today.. They were set to negative 3..... So that was not the problem... (Im guessing it has something to do with the amp being set to flat and all the tuning being done threw the HU. (which has a built in chrossover and EQ etc.[/img]

I know JVC isnt well known for SQ or anything, but this is an older model (not arsenal) which has always had good reviews. The main reason I got it was for the front aux. input which made hooking up my mp3 player really easy. It would likely be the first thing I'd replace now if I were still upgrading, but I'm strapped for cash now in college and my car audio back home is the least of my priorities.
PS, good luck designing an 8th order, I dont even know a program that will calculate that out for ya happy:

my parents mini van has some pretty good speakers, my dad got one with Infitiy speakers and even though it's a minivan, it sounds pretty good. In fact, I named the van the "Party Bus" and it is known as that among my friends.
