i love cats, but as trip said; alot of them suck. if you get a good cat you feel like he's more of a friend, not some dumb animal that sticks to your side because he's striving for attention.

Ive a friend with a miniature jack russel that does that.

Dogs aren't called mans best friend for nothing either, whats a cat gonna do if your house is being robbed? Probably get kicked the fuck out of the way, dogs are more territorial and would likely take a dive on whoever it is.

Dogs are far from "dumb". Ive seen plenty of dogs that actually stand at the crossing lights on our main road and won't cross till they hear the beeping sound. Cats on the other hand seem to love to wait till they see a car coming then try to make a mad dash for it.
that's because they're trained to oOo: how many cat boarding schools have you seen before?

Doesn't matter if a dogs "trained" to be a guard dog or not, a lot of dogs are territorial and won't let people outside of afmily members into the house, im asuming that what you're referring to anyway. If its the other thing about the crossing lights, no theyre not friggin guide dogs, just dogs that have figured this out for themselves, one of the dogs ive seen doin it ive asked the guy who owns it about what the dog does while he was out walking it at the same time as me, it just something the dog has learned.

Another point about dogs being "dumb" last i checked you can't get guide cats, but you can get guide dogs.
haha who would walk around with a guide cat? it's not like cat's don't figure things out for themselves. mines almost learned how to use a doorknob. dont forget about bians cat that learned to use the shitter (i think it was bians). both animals can be exceptionally smart, but i just find the majority of dogs to suffer from a.d.d.
