does anyone remember the price of gas before katrina, before 9/11? What was the avg cost back then?

before 9/11 I was just starting to drive and gas around me was about $1/gal with bad days it being $1.12

Its a speculating that is driving the prices up... the simple solution is to have the government regulate oil instead of it being on the open market for faggots to bid the prices up...
