Default FAKK2 Documentation and Tutorials - 08-29-2002, 05:19 PM

NOTE: For those of you who don't know, a large chunk of MoHAA is the FAKK Toolset by Ritual. Anyone wishing to do serious modding needs to learn FAKK and how to code for it. Thanks to Steve over at Ritual an archive is now available. The FAKK Website Archive[/url:a685c] in combination with the FAKK Toolkit[/url:a685c] itself gives you a fairly complete reference, as well as a few tools that work on MoHAA.[quote:a685c]Greetings Stephen,

I am writing to inquire about the FAKK Tools website, formerly at fakked.ritual.com but since the new website upgrade on http://www.ritual.com it seems to have disappeared. I have the FAKK Tools that is available from your FTP site, however I do not believe it's documentation is as complete as what was on the fakked site. Will this site return, or will it's info be integrated into the main site? Are there any other repositories of FAKK programming info available?

Thanks for your time,

DogMeat

the complete fakked.ritual.com site is available for download at http://www.rit.edu/~rbk9502/game-view/fakk2.zip. It contains the complete tools documentation, as well as a several tutorials.

Hope this helps,

I just looked over it...

Most of this info in this tutorial can be derived from just looking over the scripts in the game. However i like how they gave some detailed info on variables and such. This is a must read for ALL TC MODS!!!! You will have a step ahead of everyone if you read it.

I just realized that most of MoH can be editted except for models (weapons, players, entities) without the SDK. New menus, new action scripts and other neat stuff can be made without an SDK, with an understanding for how the shaders, .tik and other files are located and executed.

I don't about this community but it seems that we have this vision that this SDK will be our savior to modding. I hate to tell you but it seems like most of the work is going to be done by us. Many people are making false judgements that everything can be done with the help of SDK. Most of the coding is going to be done by modders like us. The SDK might have some tutorials but they won't have much more than what you or I know from taking time and using some trial and error on some .tik or .urc files.

I look forward to the SDK and hope that it revives this community.

SDk to me is a SKD plugin.

Those Coop guys made a menu,
everyone made skins /maps weapon mods.

All i want is the ability to add models.
New weapons /vehicles etc:

Some people are using the sdk as an excuse for not completing this and that TC.

radiant with plugin support and im happy.
