my father used to go on wild drinking binges, come home drunk, and then yell at my mom and us kids. even when sober, he called us mistakes and that we ruined his life. especially me (even tho im the eldest son). He also beat me with a belt if i did something by mistake, like spill my cup of juice. He kind of stopped that when my mom took the hint and left him. I still live with him, but he kind of started respecting me for who I am (except he doesnt know my sexuality and god forbit he find out, he would probably kill me in my sleep).

sorry, I felt i had to share that, cuz i have first hand experiance with crummy parents.
