Keiko, the Free Willy whale, may still not know much about fending for his fat self, but the good people of Norway have looked into their hearts and decided not to give up on the blubbery blob and pump him full of lead.

Before you ask, "Who would dare suggest making seafood of Keiko?" let's just tell you: Nils Oien.

This week, the Norwegian whale expert suggested shooting the marine movie star as a humane way of ending what he sees as fruitless attempts to make Keiko a self-sufficient member of the underwater race.

"It would be better to put him to death," Oien told the Norway state radio station NRK.

imo if any life on thsi planet has no right to exist it's ours. why? whales and other life forms are incapable of destroying themselve or this planet. we are. to say keiko should be murdered is outright repugnant. mad:

Snow geese are destroying their summer breedig gournds. They are making tundra in to wastelands that will not recover for decades. Does that mean they dont have the right to exist also? After all, they are destroying theirselves and thier part of the planet. Not to mention all the collateral deaths associated with their actions.

Oh yeah, you cannot murder an animal. Use any definition you like - from God giving man dominion over the animals, to legal definitions. Your arguements will be taken a little more seriously if you refrain from using such emotional terms.
