Hi Rude,
I have purchased a copy of MOH after playing the MP demo and becoming totally addicted to the game. I have 2 quick noob questions.

1) Redarding the dl's for your custom maps, I understand how to dl and to what folder to dl to, BUT, will the non-stock maps cause my SP player game to crash ? I am still struggling though mission 6 and do not want to wreck my game.

2) Do you run standard stock maps along with the non-stock maps ? I have been able to get onto the server, only to be booted when the map changes. Not to sound reeeaally stupid, but am I getting booted because I do not have the non-stock maps ?

This is my first FPS game and am really impressed with the community. I've played Crow King's Forlorn Hope, and found the gameplay to be terrific. I am looking forward to aa.com's server, but am just unsure if I'll wreck my game with the modded maps.

Thanks. fire1: M16:

Nope it won't affect SP at all.

Yes there are a few stock maps he runs - Algiers, Southern France. And yes, you're getting booted because you don't have the right map. Check out http://mohaa.xgshosting.com to get the latest maps and rotation.

Nope, I have probably 40-60 new maps in my /main folder and no problem with SP or anything else (except that stupid "CONTINUE" button that appears now when I am loading up a map).

See you on the server.

Like nomar said, the maps won't "wreck" your game. Just try to keep the amount of maps/mods/skins you have under control. The more you have, the more of a chance of the files conflicting with each other you will have. The "continue" button on his maps might be a result of this, or a mistake by an author of a map. |

Thanks guys for helping the new member out.
Just stop by the web site or check out the sticky on top.

I was wondering what map caused that "continue" graphic to be displayed. Have not had a chance to look as it really does no harm

well back to work for me ....

Welcome nuther old guy. I have nothing to add except that I'm glad to see more old coots playing the game. My dream of a seniors tour is one step closer to reality! Look forward to seeing you on the aa.com server. |

Getting ready to install wheel chair ramps to the server, so it's assessable to all. Also installing extra electrical outlets so people have a place to plug in their electric wheel chairs, to recharge them

LOL, J/K guys

Thanks Rude , we needed that biggrin: Oh good , "nuther old guy" ... Welcome to the best moh forum going . As the Colonel said we can use some more "mature" people in moh and especially in the aa.com server. I don't get to play the MP as much as I'd like but that's probably "a good thing" because as you said it is addictive. I also play on Crowkings some and I jump in DOA's once in a while but I usually stick to aa.com because of the quality of the people who use it and the admins are great, Crowkings gets a little wild sometimes but DOA's is very similiar to aa.com. If you've been to some of the other servers you know what I mean. The Colonel and I would like to get a team together of players over 40 and maybe callenge some of the younger players on the forum but so far it's only me and him and maybe you . What do you think ? Don't worry about being good at the game , this is all for fun.Colonel is better at the game than I am, him and I were in the server the other day for a little while against 2 other guys (I assume they were young) and we didn't do too bad. Looking forward to playing with/against you in the server. |

Hey count me in. Of course I don't officially turn 40 till December. Then again this is the internet so I could be anybody I want to be. lol. Our catch phrase could be " help I've fallen and I can't reach my ammo!" I do have a question though. What is AA IPS? |
