If we beat Louisville and USC loses once, then we are in the National Chapionship. Ohio State or Michigan look out.

Well since we are ranked 32nd in the nation in strength of schedule while Ohio State is only ranked 25th. Ohio State plays two goods teams all year. With Michigan being their one loss on the year.

I think he plays on special teams? He went to my highschool and got a scholarship for them. He sucked at running back (all he'd do is run towards the sideline and watch the lines just shift over and then run out). He's probably better at hitting people.

Texas, Iowa, Michigan. At the beginning of the year, those were all possible championship contenders.

[quote="Sicilian_Summers":86179]Miami suspended four players for violating team policy... so what? This happens ALL THE TIME at major college football programs.
Merriweather used a legally registered handgun for self defense. Why was he carrying it? He was investigating a strange car parked in front of his yard at 6 in the morning, and he was bringing it for protection, as is his right. Miami isn't exactly the safest community in the United States.
Willie Williams has been an absolute angel at Miami. He did everything he was expected to and caused absolutely no problems. Any other school in the country would have jumped at the opportunity to grab Williams out of high school, regardless of his criminal past (as is the case with most recruits and most schools).
The last "incident" at Miami other than this recent gunfight was 3 freakin years ago, when Antrell Rolle got into a fight with some people that were screwing with his car.
Butch Davis/Larry Coker have run a clean program.[/quote:86179]
I thought of you when I heard of this brawl. And yet Coker manages to retain his job. What a joke of a program.

There's nothing false about my previous statements. You never proved otherwise. I haven't seen anyone jump on Troy for accepting Willie Williams, either. Maybe it has to do with the fact he was tremendously well behaved at Miami...
With that said, the brawl was pretty fuckin stupid, but I can't say I wouldn't have reacted the same way had someone started fighting my teammates. I don't see how a fight started by another team is grounds for Coker's dismissal though, especially considering how he has handled the situation pretty well thus far (although it was ridiculous how he said Miami had to deal with "taunting" all the time when they had just stomped all over Louisville's midfield logo two weeks ago oOo: ). Coker definately has to go as he has proven to be a bad coach, but I wouldn't say he would be justifiably fired on the grounds of his team's behavior on/off the field, especially when Jim Tressel, Phil Fulmer, Terry Bowden (involved in a similar brawl in a South Carolina/Clemson game a few years ago), Lou Holtz (when coaching), Barry Switzer (again, when coaching) and Bobby Bowden have never been fired due to their team's behavior problems. Switzer certainly cut it close though. biggrin:
Anyways, consider this scenario -
Ohio State goes undefeated. 12-0
Michigan loses to Ohio State. 11-1
Auburn wins out 11-1
USC loses to Notre Dame 11-1
Notre Dame wins out 11-1
Texas wins out 12-1
West Virginia goes 11-1, losing to Rutgers
Louisville goes 11-1, losing to West Virginia
Rutgers goes 11-1, losing to Louisville
Arkansas wins out, beats Florida in the CCG 11-1
Who the hell goes to the NC?

Anyways, consider this scenario -
Ohio State goes undefeated. 12-0
Michigan loses to Ohio State. 11-1
Auburn wins out 11-1 Auburn isn't looking too good right now, despite beating Florida. Their last few games have been pretty weak.. There's still strong concerns over this team.
USC loses to Notre Dame 11-1
Notre Dame wins out 11-1
Texas wins out 12-1
West Virginia goes 11-1, losing to Rutgers WTF how will this happen?
Louisville goes 11-1, losing to West Virginia
Rutgers goes 11-1, losing to Louisville Rutgers has a weak ass schedule, so throw them out. They'll be just as credible as Boise State and Utah were a few years ago
Arkansas wins out, beats Florida in the CCG 11-1 No fucking chance in Hell. Arkansas is not that good of a football team. They can only ride on their 2 future NFL RBs for so long.
Who the hell goes to the NC?[/quote:2ba82]
If any of those scenarios pans out that I called BS on then I will suckle your wang for eternity.

I didn't say it WOULD happen, it obviously probably won't, but it's certainly plausible. It would definately make for a controversial bowl season.
But if that situation did occur, I would expect an OSU/ND championship game, considering how much of a hard on the voters have for ND.
I just hope neither USC nor Texas is playing in the NC game again.
