Default transfering songs - 11-15-2006, 06:25 PM

if i want to transfer songs from my one computer to the other.. how do i? i have a linksys router if that helps..

you basically have to set up a home network on both using the MS network wizard. name it something easy like HOME click my network place and then on the left it should say SET UP A HOME NETWORK

then right click a folder/item and say share on network

OR you could get a crossover cable or a USB connection cable which can be almost 5x faster

very slow connection though, a direct crossover conneciton would be quicker - especially if your transfering several gigs of music at once.

why not just share the music file? That way there is no need to transfer if the comps are always networked.

id just backem up...a couple gigs of music is only like 3 cds or 1 dvd.
