The key is to switch from the popular timeline and focus on germanys expansion period, there invasion of poland and crushing of france. I mean, no one objects to shooting french people. The campaign could stop when you've gotten control on france and your in that build up period during the battle of britian. After that people may be more willing to play through a historically accurate losing battle as long as objectives and missions are done right.
Fuckin' brillant !!

I may have to quote that "No one objects to shooting French people" line though.
