the reason I said it is because of all of this "the SEC is the greatest" BS. I dont think there is a "greatest" conference. There are alot of good ones but there isnt on that os head and shoulders above the rest. At the end of the year the top 3 spots will belong to the Big Ten though

well, the SEC usually has a good number of very good teams. Take this year for example, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee - all have been very good to great teams this year. ANd most if not all have been ranked in the top 10 at one point or another this season.

I'm not gonna say they're always the best every year, or that their champ is better than the rest of the nation, but it seems to me that recently they have been the most competitive.

The big ten is extremely good at the top and very weak below the top three. SEC as a whole is much stronger. 9 bowl teams.
