fantasy football wrap up -
12-19-2006, 09:20 PM
finals are here and it comes down to me and hawke
I have a well balanced attack with two solid rbs, a wr and a QB
hawke...well he has jesus aka Ladanian. Its so sick what hes done this year
Note from yahoo
according to yahoo he is on 99.2 percent of the top 500 teams in fantasy football
that is 496 teams out of 500
the next closest guy is torry holt on 28.4 % or 142 teams out of 500
Brampton slutz finshed 11(tony) and 12 last (pyro)
it was a great well balanced year
Lookin forward to next year

in one of my leagues, the guy who has LT finished 8 out of 8. But our league gives us points for every completion, with -1 for every turnover. Thus, all that matters is QB, and he started Losman oOo:

Had Delhomme played like normal, Randy Moss not disappear, Horn stay healthy and Carolinas defense not disappeared I would have done even better.
So Thorndog's, how does it feel to pass on LT who scored 130 more points then LJ?

lol yea in my keeper league I drafted eli manning, big mistake
-1 for incompletions and -6 for INTs
Luckily I picked up Drew brees who was scoring 50-60 pts a week I still missed the playoffs

he doesnt post here and to be fair, LJ was just as good as LT along with SA last year. The fact that drew brees was let go and while rivers is good they depended solely on LT this year
and the if this and that doesnt work
hell if Chris chambers played half way worth a shit like he did when Gus ferrote was the qb and if shaun alexander would have scored 25 Touchdowns again instead of 4 etc

EA should put a big fat 0 on the cover, because that's how much effort they are gonna put into the Madden series until their exclusive rights contract runs out.

2009, so we have at least 2 more years of crap left. I'm willing to wait. It's shameful that Madden still gets the "greatest game" acclaim that it does after two straight years of geniunely uninteresting, even terrible, games.

So explain why I finished my fantasy football @ 12-2 even though my draft order was 8/10.

Depends on the quality of the players at your position. For example, to pick #4 in fantasy NFL was irritating because the "big three" at the time were probably gone, and all the rest of the players left were pretty much teh same. But because you picked #4, you can't pick again until #17, despite your choice probably is no better than anyone picked at #9.
