I would say, if you already have a decent DVD player, don't bother upgrading just for the upscaling factor. It's not worth it just for that. If you need a new one anyway, go for it. I bought one, and I can't really make much of a difference out. Maybe with a side by side comparison you could tell the diff. It's no where near HD quality obviously.
