Celebs and scientology -
03-08-2007, 07:41 AM
Been reading up on this shit and watching a lot of videos on this, why exactly is it so many semi intelligent celebs are being sucked into this shit? Is it the new bandwagon of choice to hop onto to stand out from the crowd?
I mean the fucking "religion" was created by a guy that wrote science fiction ffs, its so fucked up that they dont even know if the leader of the "Galactic Confederacy" in the story is called xenu or xemu. oOo: the whole stories nothing but some bullshit sci fi fantasy that tool pulled out of his arse but you have rejects like Tom Cruise (whos now known as the jesus christ of scientology becuase he spreads its word) sucking this shit in like its even semi beleivable.

I'm sure they lure new celebs into their cult with the promise of helping further their careers.
...and make no mistake, this is a cult we're dealing with. They can gloss it over all they want, but they're one step away from mixing up the Kool-Aid and moving to South America.

Science Fiction huh?
Any more scifi than believing a figure who lives in the clouds started the earth and all of reality, and does constant battle with a demon below the earth?
Any more scifi than believing a multi-armed being controls the fate of the world?
Or that the world is filled with personal gods, including where you work.

im not defending religion at all, i think all religion is bullshit, but believing in aliens and galactic federation is just equally fucked as believing in a person who walked on water and a being who created the universe in 7 days.

Means sod all in youth time really. . .as they get older their belief systesm (whether political or religious or personal) will change drastically. Kids have the benefit of having zero responsibility, so they are able to drift to these romantic notions and what not; ideas that have little use in the "real world".

But a lot of people don't take the bible as a metaphor. There are a ton of people take the bible literally.
