Default New computer parts. Critque. - 03-23-2007, 03:10 PM

Ok folks, its that time. Supreame commander is kicking my computers ass, and so will whats around the bend. Crysis anyone? So im starting to peice together a new PC, ive laid out some parts, and ordered the case and PSU a couple days ago. Needed a new case this one just doesnt kill heat well enough.

Mostly ive found parts and want to find out if anyone has experiance with them, or knows of something "better" i should look into.

Id prefer a quad core capiable mobo, and SLI since that leaves some upgrading paths open if you have other suggestions.

Also if my PSU is Crossfire certified it should work for SLI to. Or do they use differant style connectors. Im under the impression they both use the 6 pin new style.

Cross post from bengals.

Cpu and ram look good, most people these days seem to be going for the 2.13ghz core 2's and overclocking them but that can be a pain in the ass and time consuming. Dunno much about that mobo, if i were you id stick to asus or abit. Graphics are ok, but depending how soon you;re gonna get it all the new ati boards should be out around then so you might get something faster for the same price. Curently both ati and nvidia use the standard 6 pin pci express connection.

This will be my 3rd machine built with msi mobos, i like em. Plus i couldnt really find an ASUS or gigabyte with the features i wanted in a price that was reasonable. They all seemed to tack on some useless stuff or didnt have SLI.
