It's on versus in the US. The one positive thing about that is VS wants the NHL. They do pregame and postgame and their broadcasting is pretty decent.

ESPN didn't really care about the NHL. It's there to fill a time slot basically. ESPN has programs that are much more popular, so I don't blame them.

You are right though. Every sports bar will show ESPN, so if there happens to be a hockey game on, all the people in the bar will be watching hockey. If you want to watch hockey now in the states, you have to search for it because no bar will be showing VS and nobody knows what the hell the channel is.

yep and quite a few cable companies are thinking of dropping VS.

without the US's help the NHL would turn into another CFL type league. your player salaries would decline dramatically and you would probably not see european players coming to the NHL. it would be a select few northern US players and Canadians only. You guys may not care about it but trust me the NHL certainly does.

The Isle game before the play offs against the Devils was insane. That was on NBC. I say Go Isles!

You mean the game the devils threw?

I haven't seen the devils play a worst game in my life...besides the last 10 seconds.

normal game by the wings, terrible game by the flames. 4-1 score was flattering to the flames. Only guy that showed up was kipper. made some unreal saves. they didn't even test hasek.

also, Detroit didn't sell out the game. first time that's happened for over 450 games.

Heard that 2,500 season ticket holders turned down playoffs because they wanted the first two rounds up front and people couldn't afford it.

they did. you can buy them on ticketmaster if you wanted. if you checked right before the game last night on ticketmaster you could still buy tickets.

That's really surprising. eek:

That's one thing I gotta hand to Toronto...good luck getting a ticket to a home game, let alone a playoff game.
