Default HELP!! MY VID CARD NEEDS YOU!! - 09-16-2002, 01:46 PM

hi all

i have a Voodoo 5 agp video card, 512 mb sd ram, 1.2ghz AMD duron
and for some strange reason, if i use the auto configure exe, it detects my vid card as ONLY 32mb!! i went into my voodoo cfg utility and it stated that both my chips were running, 32+32=64mb, so why is Medal of Honour only detecting the 32mb>>>i want to play this game with 64mb support and on the higher resolutions rather than having to turn everything down to make it run smooth fire2:

i even went in to the newconfig.cfg(within the main folder)and edited the line there to 64 mb, but i still have very choppy game play when their is multiple enemies, explosions, bigzooka: etc...even with all the background programs shut off!! i have installed the newest wicked3d driver(best one ive found so far) and it still acts up, PLEASE if anyone can help me out here i would greatly appreciate it. i love MOH(just finished it in fact) and i want to play it over again cool:

My GF2 MX400 is fine. I get 60-120 FPS on most maps with 800x600 res.

I wonder if this is an issue with the auto-configure. There was a post about this from someone else about Auto-Configure listing their 128MB card as 64MB. My GF4 does this as well. If you also take a quick glimpse at the loading console when the game boots, you can see that a Pentium 4 processor system is still listed as a P3.

Yeah, it only detects my card as 64 meg when its 128...

This should have absolutely no affect on performance though...start looking at other things then the game mis-reading the amount of memory on your card as the cause of stuttering and what not!!

I have a GF2ti that would only pull 20-30 fps and thought that was my weak link. I just built a new pc with all new except for the vid card. My gf2 now is pulling 95+ fps. Good times. biggrin:
