So, they're filming near my school (as they did for the previous film) at the Old Chicago Post Office on Van Buren street near the Chicago River (remember those bridge scenes in the first movie?).
There are filming bulletins posted up around saying the project is entitled RFK "Rory's Firs Kiss". Rory is the name of the director's, Christopher Nolan, son.
The Post Office is transformed into Gotham City National Bank with an extension added on for the Joker's grand entrance crashing into the building.
The scene entails a bank robbery by the Joker and three henchmen. Batman swoops in with a grand entrance and a car chase entails.
This will be the opening scene for the movie.
The following photos are taken through various sources, I don't dare to take my camera as the security will confiscate your camera if they catch you. I've been to the set twice: when they were doing the actual bank robbery scene in the late evening and at midnight when they had Batman (Christian Bale) gliding around in the air on wires; his cape is huge in real life. When I was there that one day for the robbery scene, they did practice runs from 3pmish to about 5pmish and started filming between 6-9pm.

(Heath Ledger as the Joker)

(The extension. There's an open gap for the doors. My guess is there are going to put in CGI revolving doors later)

(Ledger is wearing a mask too with his henchmen, though he has the green slick hair and white face paint when walking around during breaks, but the set security does a good job of hiding transporting him around without anyone seeing)
Theyre still filming it? I remember seeing a pic maybe 4 months back with ledger all made up in the joker outfit. Ida thought by now they would have been in post production.

That was just make up testing I believe. I think I know what photo you're referring to, it was a portrait shot of Ledger in costume/makeup holding a multi-coloured photo of some sort?
I asked a film crew guy about the scene and he said all this so far was just pre-production shooting. They're going to London after this week to shoot till June when they come back to Chicago for more key/action scenes.
[quote="TGB!":b5a49]WTF - that first pic was posted on AICN; so you're saying that was you that had his pictures reported all over the internet? I call bullshits.[/quote:b5a49]
TGB the GF1 Seagull swoops into a thread, makes allot of noise, craps on everything and then leaves
Not that you're wrong on your assumptions the post dose seem suspicious.
Hardly making noise, its just silly to take credit for photos that arent yours to begin with. If they are his - well shame on him for leaking it to other websites (and waiting a week), before he came here to our loving arms.
Can you guys not read? He said he didn't take the pics. oOo:
If youre referring to "various sources" - can mean anything. PM him to edit that info to actually say "I didn't take these pictures, but they are filming near my school".

what a load of fuckin drama as usual.
Anyway, wish i never opened this thread, never understood the reason why people would want to see fuzzy/distorted/confusing photos of people and locations of film shoots before the movie is done...
doesn't it just ruin the film? what would anyone have to gain from seeing photos like this? bragging rights on what you know about whats going to happen in the film?
