thanks guys!

and im not a fan of absinthe, atleast the kind i had. my friend brought it back from europe so im assuming it was the real deal. i just got drunk off it, kind of a different drunk, but then again i get different drunk from beer vs vodka vs wine.. there was definitely no tripping going on, and it was some of the mst disgusting tasting things ive ever had

Some people mix it with water...

From my interesting absinthe experience I usually melt/set fire to some sugar with a lighter then stir it in & down. Black absinthe at 89% wasn't actually as bad as the green stuff.

my friends girlfriend brought back some green absinthe from Prague i think. no idea if it was the "real" stuff or not, but it wasn't that bad to drink. it didn't taste great but it's a lot better than some other alcohol straight.

Absinthe is sick...I had a few shots of my buddies 85% stuff and it tastes like licorice and cough syrup...GOO. Stays in your throat for like 3 hours after.

...and yeah, you're not supposed to drink it neat (even though most people do) but I know I couldnt do it without at least a chaser. Gross.

You gotta go to micro brewery's and drink as much local beer as possible after you get over being able to buy your own booze. There are some amazing beers out there, ya just gotta look for em.
