Default how to pack a pk3 ? - 09-25-2002, 04:20 PM

Hey i need help on how to pack a pk3 file i have followed tuts befor and i always just end up wit a zip file named user_wolf skin.pk3.zip i have i zip file named blah blah .pk3 how do i actually make it a pk3? please help

You need to change it with pakscape.

pk3 files and zip files are the same thing. After you're done making changes to the files you want to pak, just use winzip to pack them and change the resulting zip archive's name by changing ".zip" to ".pk3" on the end of the file name. Thats it.

For example, if you created a file with winzip called "my_mod.zip", just change the name to "my_mod.pk3" and you're done.

dont bother messing around with winzip waste of time get pakscape
