Default Someone has to balls to say enough is enough - 06-30-2007, 06:31 AM

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6252290.stm

[quote:8fcf9]US newsreader Mika Brzezinski has attempted to burn her script live on television in protest at being made to lead her bulletin on Paris Hilton.

The co-presenter of MSNBC's Morning Joe programme refused to read out the story about the celebrity socialite's release from jail ahead of items on Iraq.

"I hate it and I don't think it should be our lead," she said, before tearing up and trying to set fire to script. [/quote:8fcf9]

fucking word up, this person put their job in jeopardy to say enough is enough and im just sick about hearing about her all the fucking time, media attention frenzy for her when jail should of been a lesson. shoot her now.

While I agree we dont need to hear EVERYTHING this woman does - you reading this NYCK - its a little sad that a journalist thinks they can tell the rest of the world what is newsworthy or not.

If it was just her that felt that way, yeah I would understand. Who the fuck cares if it's not professional? That shit is fucking stupid, and I don't want to hear about it.

spoke to a friend of mine who is a marine and he's just upset about how the paris jail saga was getting more coverage than our troops who are getting slaughtered in iraq/overseas. I found out that these have been the 3 deadliest months since the war began (336* killed in 3 months.. ummm)

Yup, i just went to a funeral for a Soldier from the 82nd who was killed in A-Stan that i went to HS with. Sad part is that a few friends and i went out to a bar downtown for a few drinks and we ran into him back in November and we were shooting the shit, and i remember him telling me about maybe going to a-stan and the last thing i said to him was "well be safe over there, take care of yourself"....now he is dead. Sgt Dusty Perrott RIP

If it's not the Journalists who decide what the news is, who does?

Comne on, thats just arguing for the sake of arguing. I think we can just use a little common sense here and say what she did was right.

There are hundreds of shows that spout Hilton shit 24/7, but on a News channel? come on. She means fuck to the entire planet.

Paris Hilton is not newsworthy. Good on the reporter for saying something.
