what happened to it? i can't find it for sale at best buy ect. was it discontinued? i was looking for an mp3 player and only heard good things about this one. what else would be an excellent mp3 player?

Its getting out dated, the design and everything. I would look elsewhere, Maybe a Sandisk, those are great little players for cheap.
Sandisks solid state memory is some of the best in the business.
But it all depends what you want...a hard drive player or a flash player. Flash player i would get a Sandisk, for a HDD i would for with a Zune or maybe the new 80GB iPod thats 249.99 thats a good deal.

You can get a Zune video 30gb for around $80-100 now. If its anything like my Zen Vision:M then get it.

I got the Zune 30GB shortly after it first came out and I haven't had any problems at all with it. The only thing you have to think about is getting some way to convert audio (ie from itunes) and video into the zune formats. I got a couple programs for like $20 combined to convert audio and video. I gotta say, I love being able to put DVDs on the zune.
