dude i was gonna kill everyone this morning...we brought the car home last night because my wife and i had to drive seperate yest. my mom has been using the car because we car pool. well I get home and I still have a big pile of leaves at my curb that the city hasn't picked up yet and dudes are parked all in front of my house and up the street there from Michigan Works a company next door. So we pull in the drive way and part of the car is on the sidewalk. wake up this morning WOW $50 ticket from wayne police for having my car on the sidewalk and the fucking dude wrote it when I was home and up at like 10:40 PM. all our lights and shit are on im like WOW WAY TO NOT FUCKING COME KNOCK ON MY DOOR AND ASK ME TO MOVE THE CAR. My wife is 9 months pregnant and shit is she supposed to just walk down and around the street because she cant park in front of the house.
Yea I called the court this morning and they said write a letter to the judge explaining the situation and she will decide if we pay the 50 or now...

I hate dumb tickets. I've received a few from my school this year for the most retarded things. One of my friends who was visiting even got ticketed for parking in visitor parking!

LOL....and no, i don't feel bad for you because i have you beat.
Listen to this fucked up story. On July 16, 2006, i got a parking ticket for parking on the side of a 2 lane hwy along with 30 other cars. There was an outdoor car show that was crowded so a bunch of us parked on the shoulder of the road. Came out and yup, parking ticket. No big deal i thought.
As i pulled away, i saw a Trooper parked in the grass so i pulled along side him and asked him what i needed to do to pay the fine. He told me to go to District Court and pay the clerk on the 2nd floor. He went on to tell me that he was the one who wrote me the ticket and that he hasn't written one in years.....lol, my luck! I told him "Oh well, you're just doing your job.....thanks for the info, i'll pay it this week" and i went on my way.
I went to the court to pay the fine later in the week and after i handed the clerk the ticket, he tells me he's not accepting the ticket. I ask "What do you mean?". He tells me that the Trooper filled the ticket on an old ticket base they're no longer using so the ticket will be void however, there still may be a chance that they'll re-issue a ticket at a later date. Great for the moment as i leave without paying.
well, 2 weeks later i get a "new" ticket in the mail. Now i'm pissed so i call the Trooper division and explain the situation. The lady says "We're throwing all those tickets that that Trooper wrote for that shift out. Don't worry about it". So, that's what i did...i just forgot about it.
Well, last week i was looking into some insurance for a beater car i wanted to buy in order to save a lil' on gas because my truck is killing me on gas milege. The lady asks me if my driving record is clean and i say with pride "Yup, spotless record". She then asks "What about these 2 points on your license from 07/16/07"?
WTF???? She tells me the fine was paid on 03/23/07. I said, must be a mistake.....i haven't gotten pulled over by a cop and ticketed in over 15 years. I go home and fetch the ticket and what do know...i look closely at it and the charge is "Failure to obey a traffic device". I call the Troopers back up and explain the ticket to them. They tell me that the VTL charge is the wrong one and i can't do anything about it since i admitted guilt by paying the fine. I told him i never paid the fine and that he had better run my license to make sure there's not a warrant out for my arrest. He runs it and it comes back clean.....wtf?
I give District Court a call and explain the fiasco to them. Guy tells me the VTL code is for an HOV lane offense....lol, there's no HOV lane on the hwy where i got the PARKING ticket. He then tells me it's a $150 fine, plus a nice special bonus charge of $35 for my SUSPENDED LICENSE !!!!
WTF???
I ask him for his name and contact number and hang up. I place a call to the Troopers again but this time ask for the particular Trooper that wrote me up. I tell him about getting a parking ticket from him and even mentioned that i talked to him about it and also about the part where he told me he hasn't written one in years. He tells me he remembers and then i hit him with "Good, because now you have to help me here". I go on to explain the whole thing to him and ask him what the VTL code is for a parking violation. Yup, he mistakenly wrote the wrong code. He apologized and told me i can seek help from him in fighting it.
Good, i call back District Court and explain everything to the guy about the wrong charge and also that the Trooper is willing to help me. Guy tells me to come down so we can lift the suspension. I go there today, pay a $35 fee to free up my license, and get a new court date. Guy goes on to tell me the judge will most likely toss the whole thing out and to ask for my $35 back.
I'll let you know in January what happens.
Fuck you Nyck, pay the lousy $50 and be done with it.

I sometimes work in the down town Seattle area, notorious for its lack of parking, let alone free parking. Well i started a job down there and i of course scour the area for free parking since $50 - $70 a week or $180 a month is a bit steep just to show up to work, for a year or two. I find some side roads that have gaps in the signs and are perfectly legal. Then the fucking major decides he wants people to take the bus more, so he installs payed parking in all area that were free. So im stuck at metered parking for the remainder of my job since most parking garages are A: expensive, B:full from other people on the project, or C: full from people on the 205839 projects.
I since learned that meter maids are motherfucking psyhic ninjas. You could pay for the two hour maximum twice and walk out to pay the third time and bam ticket outta fuckin no where. Check the time, 3 - 5 minutes after it expired, im only late by like 7. Check the area, nothing, no signs, and no one saw them. Needless to say, by the time i left the job i owed or had paid, something like 300+ in parking fines. Sadly that is still less than it would have cost to park in a garage for the same period of time.
My favorite was when i had paid and they ticketed me anyway.

Dude, you're telling me you don't know the trick? Just stick an old ticket under your wiper and they'll think you got slammed already.....lol
Oh, and if you're in NYC, just place a brown paper M&M wrapper on your dash and you're good to go. The "M"eter "M"aids here wear "brown" so they think it's one of them and won't ticket you. Just don't park in a "Police Only" spot.....they tend to get pissed....lol
I did that once and they were yelling at me as i went to my car. They had a tow on the way but i beat the truck....lmao. I had to pay a $90 ticket but i lol'd in their faces because they were so pissed off. Best $90 i ever spent.

Oh no, they just ticket you twice. If we got ticketed we just said fuck paying for the rest of the day. Nope, they came back and issued a second ticket. Its a loop hole to the double jeopardy of being prossicuted for the same crime twice. That they say you exceeded the time limit of two hours, and for the second ticket they say the meter hadnt been paid. Its the same fucking thing, but are classified as two differant types of parking violation. Since some areas arnt metered they just have time limits, but meters with a posted limit are a double whammy. I was well beyond pissed that day, $70 for one day of parking.
Also as a side note, if i had tried the leave an old ticket, they actually did open up the tickets and look and it never worked. Infact since we worked there the ticket was likly from the day before, and you would get a bigger fine as they think you just didnt move. Eventually they even started recognizing our cars and were quite ruthless when it came to timing them to be ticketed. Its not like we were doing anything wrong or getting angry with them, we were often very nice to them, but they knew that we had to park there, and that we couldnt always baby sit our cars.

Well parking without feeding the meter isnt a criminal offense, therefore wouldnt fall under the double jeopardy rule
At work, ive written a handful of cites for students who refuse to move their vehicle while they are away on vacation or whatever, one for everyday the vehicle doesnt move. There was one car that had about 8 combined from myself and others i work with - I just lined them up all across the windshield

Probably just write you a second ticket for not having wipers. Then when the wind blew them away and you failed to pay they'ed suspend your license and you'd get pulled over for a bad tail light and get 10 - 15 years in jail because the legal system is a joke.
