Default Windows XP help - 09-30-2002, 04:18 PM

I know this isnt tech support but... I need help.
My comp is only like 2 months old. Its a DELL and ive had problems with logging off. When my mom logs off the comp freezes. I am the administrator and my mom and stepdad are limited if that helps.
But I nor my stepdad have problems logging off. I also tried deleting her S\N completely and making a new one but it still freezes. I am about to reformat it but dont really want to. I would rather just fix the prob. Can ne1 plz help me.

I've been on XP before, and had the thing stuck in "Saving Settings" mode for days. I think it's simply a matter of your hard drive, and the crap you have on your computer. I mean why do you really need different user accounts? - Are your documents THAT secret. Stash of porn in that "FAMILY PHOTOS" folder???

Ok, Uncle Arkan is here to help you lil' one. Instead of wasting your time here with peeps who probably don't know what O/S they're running, go somewhere else to get the proper help like here:

http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwb ... board.html
or here...
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgr ... S&slcid=us
also try here...
http://www.xp-erience.org/forum/index.php

It's a DELL ?! Oh God, when will people learn to make their own clones...

Anyway, FORMAT the fukn' POS after you've backed up the stuff you wanted
to keep (yes, you still have to re-install your programs even if they are on a
back-up cd: simply copying it back once XP is re-installed won't work).

That is all. biggrin:
