Default SCREENSHOTS from my new Mostaganem Village Map! - 10-17-2002, 10:05 AM

These shots are from my new map, they might seem a bit dark when viewed in windows, but in game the effect is less dark. I've just submitted the map to AA.com, but you can allready download the pk3 HERE. Simply place the.pk3 file in your mohaa/main directory.

when you get those really dark screenshots just go into psp or photoshop and lighten them up a little.

Lighting looks nice. I wonder how big it is... I'll check it out soon.

LOl, I think they mean in physical size. Congratulations on not making like... a 1000000 foot high tower :P Unique, different theme, I like it!

I like it. Good size, good textures, good layout. MY only two problems are that there isn't enough to expore (too many locked doors) and the objective is a bit uncreative for a good map like this. A third of all objective maps are exploding a flak cannon. Perhaps you could change that and make a few more rooms behind the doors.

Well...

I like the lighting, the textures, and the layout (I also like the locked doors)

I don't like the low frames-per-second (I usually get 100 on standard maps but on this map I get anywhere from 15-40, which would make it barely playable for a guy with a crappy computer).

Oh I thought I also said something about the physical size, but it seems I didn't... ed:

I'ts not very big, but thats because I wanted to make a map on wich you wouldn't be running around, looking for enemies for EVER when playing with like 4 or 5 players. Spawning points allow up to 24 players though.

About the exploring - I didn't want to create too much hiding places. And well, about the objective: at least it's not a Flak cannon you have to blow up - but a 15 cm omaha beach kinda gun - I know that kinda sucks, but I'm trying to work on objectives that are more fun... (see my running Ai in multiplayer thread) Maybe I'll modify this map later with a cooler type of objective.

There's one building near the objective with a little room hidden behind something (I forget what). The only possible use for that room would be to hide and make the enemies looking forever. =)

Don't get me wrong. I like the map a lot. Just a few things that don't seem as good as the rest of the map.

Thnx m8. You're right about the room, tho there is one other use the room has (a little secret) oops already told ya too much

I've kindof like finished the map, submitted it and all, so I wont add more rooms (all this compiling takes far too much time...) But you might be right, there's maybe too much locked doors...

Haha, I thought I checked the room thoroughly. I'll have to go back and see what you mean.

Ha, I hope some clan servers pick up my map soon, that way I could maybe show you some time

Anyway, in december I'll have my 100mbit connection back (Yippee!!) and then I'll probably host the map a lot myself...
