No, what you posted Arkan was dance music.
Techno (since the late 80s, anyway) has always been generally very mechanic, artificial music.
What I'm saying is that people completely mislabel a lot of music as techno. If you've heard it on the radio, or in a club, it's probably dance music, not techno. I'll see if I can dig up a good techno song for you guys to download and compare to S.L.A.M. so that you can understand the difference.
And BallWook, I'm kind of disappointed that you of all people would jump the Eminem-and-I-think-techno (it's dance, damnit)-is-for-homos bandwagon. When you can write an 80-minute set of music with 15+ layers a song, then you can call them no-talent. Most of the people who write dance music are more brilliant than you or I could ever comprehend being. And that's saying a lot, because I'm assuming you're mildly intelligent at the very least, and I get harassed by Mensa on a monthly basis.

technolgical music is advanced and difficult to compose, although it is not as difficult as preparing music for an orchestra as the orchestra is made during the process of composing

Meh, you can say that about anything....Until you try to make the music you're fucking with, your opinions mean nothing.
I mean, if I were ignorant enough, I would say that most of todays rock music is just people smashing guitars with their fingers and screaming out of tune like maniacs. I would top it off by saying that there is no skill involved.....But I wouldn't say that, because I know better than that. Most people on these forums don't and they sound really fucking stupid when they shit on other people's tastes.

Yeah, electronic and classical music have alot of similarities at times. Trying to compose a classical piece would be hard I imagine.

Drum N Bass, Garage & 2-Step is where it's at as far as the electronica scene goes.....
I recommend, Artful Dodger, Roni Size, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Oxide & Neutrino, Asher D.......Maybe some LTJ Bukem if you like some of that slower stuff....
