I got my first guitar when I was 13. It was an Eddie Van Halen look-alike from Sears. Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Van Halen...all were huge influences and springboards for my musical ventures.

Biggest influences since then have been Iron Maiden (and always will be a source of inspiration), Metallica ("...And Justice For All" was huge with me in high school), and some celtic acts like Stan Rogers, Great Big Sea, and Shanneyganock. I grew up on that irish/newfoundland/celtic stuff...it's in my blood.

I never was influenced by anyone but coincidently when i play guitar it sounds weird and odd kind of like Brian Benoit from Dillinger Escape Plan or if i'm tired and want to sit back i'll just bust out some slow ambient music (Gary Larsen).

Fuckin A boomstick, I'd have to say AC/DC, and Guns n Roses. Other then hard rock and metal from the early 80s and 90s I like allot of classic oldies from the 50/60/70s.
