Yes and no.

The electoral college is not required to follow the popular vote of their state. However, they typically do follow it or watch their careers go up in smoke.

Are you dumb??

It's happened ever since the start of our country. The electoral college chooses our president, not us. We only help "influence" our representatives to vote for a candidate.

what he means is that only twice was the popular winner not the electoral winner,
it happened when George W. Bush was elected and some other guy a long time ago.

certainly, somebody has to vote that knucklehead out of office and fucking repeal the un-patriot act!
As a chemistry major I have a legit reason to read books that teach you to make bombs and stuff , and I don't need the homeland-lack-of-security department spying on me!
(Nitro and TNT are basic organic synthesis, and they used to do those experiments in college until the liberal PC police and conservative paranoia force stopped them)[/quote:b67c1]

Id feel better if they were watching you![/quote:b67c1]

well, its against a little thing called the Constituition of the United States,
ever heard of it?[/quote:b67c1]

yes I have heard of it. If you want to purchase items that you need to make bombs then you should be checked out. I am all for indivuals rights but we live in as different world today. I want all of those checking out WMD info checked out. Before you ask I am a fan of the "We the people" thang

so books that contain the nitration of Toluene are now "items used to make bombs"?
How paranoid our world's become annoy:

and how long will it be before the un-patriot act is used to spy on anyone who even mildly disagrees with the administration? Even if its not done by Bush, I guarantee that it will eventually happen if this act is not soon repealed. Remember this: those who lose their freedoms very often give them up voluntarily and without a fight.
