i dont have the vocal kind, i have a twitch in my head, its like an itch that never goes away, and you just have to give into it. its a mental problem that i was born with. it goes away most of the year, but usually around this time it gets bad, it just started going away. i take medication for it, but sometimes it doesnt help. it doesnt bother me most of the time though, most of my friends dont know i have it, but when they see me twitch they get scared....i dont blame them though.

in all seriousness, maybe you should try meditation. My dad I think has like a mild version of what you're talking about. He unknowingly does this thing with his eyebrows. And he either never does it, or he does it a lot, like you were talking about on and off. Either I'd notice it 50 times a week, or not at all in a month.[/quote:a043e]
i used it have the eyebrow thing too. its difficult to explain tourettes to a person who doesnt have it. you pick up a habbit, and it gets picked up by tourettes. i used to shake my head once and a while, if i had a headache or whatever, i picked that up. i used to move my eyebrows all the time, that went away. now i always have to crack my wrist, even in counterstike, i lose so many rounds because i snap my wrist. its a terrible syndrome, and i hate it when people make fun of it. my friends make fun of it infront of me, but they dont know i have it, if i tell them they are so sorry...but i dont know...i have to live with it.

I never thought that 'habbit' might be a disease. I hope it's just a habbit.. oOo:

Sorry man, bad form on my part, I usually hate people who joke about
things like that...in my ignorance I thought Tourettes was just this weird
vocal thing, and very rare...now I see that's not the case, and stand corrected.
I hope you continue to improve and go on to live without it at all. beer:

some say excessive cracking of joints will lead to arthritis. Not sure how true it is though
