I'd like to chime in again.
After hearing various people talk about this for a while now, I have come to a conclusion on the subject. The CFL will most likley introduce new rules that say if a player is suspended in the NFL, he cannot play in the CFL. The only reason ricky is playing in the CFL is beacuse there is nothing about this subject in the rulebook.
So if we look at this in general, suspended players of any league probably should not be able to cross over regardless of their suspension.
I think ricky's suspension is lame, it's not like he killed anyone, but it's still a suspension. I guess the CFL should honour that suspension.
On the other hand, i'm excited to see him play and a lot of others are too. Infact williams #27 jerseys are on backorder, and I have heard of americans buying tickets to argos games to see him play, and even people in flordia are looking to see if they can watch the games on TV.
Which brings me to this point:

I actually heard a rumour that the CFL gets better ratings in the states than NHL hockey. Not sure if it's true, but even if it's close, thats pretty rediculious.
It was also reported that williams is going to make 500,000 not 240,000, but the comissioner said thats not what he signed, but contracts are so messed up in the cfl that the argos could be paying ricky .5 mill.
can't wait for the season to start. rock:
Oh yeah, and if were going to compare CFL/NFL here's what ricky said:

''As far as talent . . . the talent here is comparable to the NFL, it's just consistency. From what I saw out there, these guys can run, these guys can hit, these guys know what they're doing. Football is football. There are a couple of differences in the game but for the most part it's just terminology.''[/quote:473b2]

Regardless, CFL if one of two of my favourite sports, the other being NHL. I doesn't matter to me if others think its inferior, I love the game.
