They say the movie is based on a true story. But I read somewhere it is based on some incident in Europe where a girl was having seizures and everybody thought it was demon possesion. I think she ended up dying because of it. I could be wrong though.

Perhaps when you evince a design to pull your head out of your own ass, you won't try to derail threads with your unquestionably baiting and pathetic comments made in blissful ignorance.

I'd rather have someone who is Christian over an asspistol like yourself any day.
So would I, but im the only one who happens to be me, so I can deal with one everyday of my life. I don't derail threads, I just say my opinion on the topic, which when it deals with religion, I am flabergasted to find out how so many fucking people in the world can be manipulated by something they can't even remotly prove.

I like coleman, I wish more religious freaks were like him...but Ive seen too many so consumed by their fucking religion that they'd govern their entire life by it, and with that I don't agree.
I didn't read the whole thread or anything. I've just briefly read over it.

Now my take on the whole exorcism thing is real. I believe they are real because my family has had a direct link to an exorcism. Call me a retard and everything else. I'm not going into detail about this whole thing b/d I feel it's something that shouldn't be shared over the internet. I don't really care if you people call me a dreamer or whatever, but all I know is that a person from my family has experienced something along the lines of an exorcism. That's enough proof for me.

don't see the first pic if a movie about an exorcism gets to you[/quote:13cee]

I don't mind that you quote me, but why did you quote something that I said on a different thread that had nothing to do with this one?[/quote:13cee]

Better late than never.

I just quoted you cause I sadly saw that image and now is stuck with me. I'll admit that I still get somewhat scared (about horror flicks), but now at night when I try to block some memory or not think about the stupid whore that cheated on me, that just pops into my mind.

Is weird thought cause I'll watch those CSI and Corssing Jordan shows and they have cadavers doing spread eagle with their body chopped up ... I can see that and forget, but not w/ some images.

One of the scariest images I can recall is from Silence of the Lambs, the guy thats crucified on the side of the cage. I saw that for weeks in my nightmares.

Resident Evil, the game, made me afraid to go outside during the middle of the day.

I was 8 at the time though.

ehh.. doesnt look too scary, I guess you have to believe in that stuff to find it scary. We could easily take this to a religious debate, so I'll just throw some facts out there...

in 1998 the vatican finally acknowleged that most of the symptoms that were thought to be possessions were simply mental illnesses and dont require an exorcism... the mind is IMO the most amazing, perplexing thing existing in nature, when things dont go right in there, some pretty messed up conditions can occur. blaming these on the devil is perposterous...

That movie was terrible...The book owns the living shit out of it. Guess it got whored down because it was on network tv and not cable.

I know that now, after Ive seen it dozens of times. But being 7 years old and watching it was a bad idea. Considering the fact that I watched "Pett Semetary" or w/e just 2 years later or so doesnt make it better.
