Did anyone else notice the images from Eko's past in the "smoke" when the camera moved through it? I wonder if "it" is taking things from the people it encounters, or showing them something (or maybe both). Taking thoughts/memories? Some of the noises it makes sound like some of the things we've heard on the show; the plane tearing up/crash, Walts game when he was sitting in the airport, things like that. Previous theories on some of the Lost message boards have the black smoke as some kind of nanobot technology. I haven't come to any conclusions about it myself. Anyway, that was a fine episode indeed.

hmmm ... cool theory. I'm still trying to figure out the Eko-Locke thing. In the first season Locke was playing backgammon with Walt and, in explaining the game, he picks up a couple of game pieces and says something about the opposing side, one black, one white, but the same. Or somethign wierd like that.

Now we've got Eko kinda being a "black Locke". But I'm still trying to figure out if the black/white thing is a good/evil thing. Both guys stood their ground against the "monster" and looked into it. (Locke in season 1). maybe Eko was evil as a youth and is now good. maybe Locke was good before but becomes evil? I don't know but it was interesting stuff last night.

I noticed shit swirling in the smoke, but I couldn't make it out. I recorded it on the PVR though, so I'll pause that shit up good.

LOCKE will be the villain of LOST - but I dont think in the traditional sense. I think this has been pretty much accepted by most. The fact that he basically CHAINED the members on the ISLAND to THAT SPOT by making the hatch operational again. . .

Also MICHAEL. . .fuck nutty idiot. You KNOW the OTHERS take kids and corrupt them, but yea - its a good idea to trust that the FIRST TIME someone uses the computer to communicate, your son just so happens to be on the other end of the line.
