Default server.cfg changes not picked up after server restart - 10-10-2002, 02:06 AM

A fellow clan member just got a new dedicated server. Currently none of the settings in the server.cfg file are being used even after the server was restarted.

ie..
The server runs OBJ starting on the hunt after being restarted
althought the config file says
// The Map List
seta sv_maplist "dm/mohdm1 dm/mohdm2 dm/mohdm3 dm/mohdm4 dm/mohdm5 dm/mohdm6 dm/mohdm7"
map dm/mohdm1

The rcon password is correct in the server.cfg
but we get badpassrd when we try and use rcon

Any ideas??
My only guess was there is something not set right on the command line.

I assume you called your server.cfg file server.cfg.
some providers call them differently.

Check out your game sever via ftp. Look for any other files called *.cfg

my old provider called it serverffa.cfg so when you restart the server it doesn't point to a plain server.cfg file it points to what they decided to call it.

Once you find out what they call it just rename yours and over write the old one.
