how do i change the names of weapons?

I know iv'e seen a post onthis before...but i didnt feel like searching through hundreds of them to find it...so help me out...

I want to change the weapons names...to like Hobbs shotty or something.

Is it in the config file or somewhere else....

Appreciate any help!

use pakscape and winzip and find localazation.txt and then edit the weapon names

Are you sure that will change this...(see pic below)

wont it only change the text messages?

To change the death messages, do what the other guy said.

To change it how you want it done, extract all of the pak files (you only need pak0, but if you extract them all you can see all of the other files you could edit if you wanted at a later date) to some folder. Open that, open the folder called ui, then go to the file names that look like "hud_ammo_gunname.urc", and open one of them in Notepad or something like it. Scroll down to the bottom where it says itemstat1. Delete that line and add a line that says:

title "name"

Where name is the name you want it to show. Then save it with the same filename and extension (meaning select 'all files' and add .urc to the end of the name) to another folder, and move on to the next gun.

When you're done all of the guns that you want to edit, go to where you saved the files. Copy them all and open your mohaa/main folder, and make a folder there called ui. Put the files in there, and you're ready to play.
