Not really any more-so than before.

If I understand correctly; the house requires a 60% vote.

Can anyone confirm/disprove that?

And resolutions brought up to any side of congress require ONLY majority vote to go back to the President to sign. If the PRESIDENT veto's anything a 2/3's revote is neccesary to override this.

So, it is therefore very important that the house and senate have majority since this way those Repubs ALREADY working closely with the president, dont need to worry about any kind of DEMOCRATIC stalling.

As far as I remember from government class you need a 2/3 majority to get anything important passed.

Well there goes the economy. Having the executive and legislative branches of the government controled by the same party is a bad thing. Especially when the executive branch is at one end of the spectrum or the other. In this case Cheney/Bush are to far to the right. So expect a huge deficit that you and you children will be paying for in the future. Massive unenmployment, enviornmental laws that put companies profits first, a bigger gap between the rich and poor. Laws that start taking away are indvidual rights. The good news is that Cheney/Bush won't be able to blame their screw ups on Congress.

I agree with low spark - neither party should have control of both the presidency and congress. Only time will tell if this what is needed to get things done, or if this is what is meant by giving them enough rope to hang themselves.

[quote:f9ee2]MASSIVE POLLING FRAUD UNDERWAY IN FLORIDA

[url:f9ee2]http://www.voxnyc.com/archives/00000043.htm[/url:f9ee2][/quote:f9ee2]

Here's a sample:

[quote:f9ee2]Scores of reports are accumulating in the early hours of the Florida Governor’s race, indicating wide scale election fraud and election rigging. Callers are reporting to the popular Florida radio talk show, The Neil Rodgers Show that when they selected McBride, the Democrat, the machines instead registered a vote for Bush. Wide scale machine "breakdowns" reported throughout Democratic strongholds in Orange, Brevard and Seminole counties. Republican districts appear to be enjoying a speedy and efficient polling day.[/quote:f9ee2]

Surprised? I'm not...

Dude, stay away form that site. They will fry your brain. They also make claims about how licoln, FDR, and kennedy all warned of the coming of bush, whatever that means.

Sorry, I'm an avid conspiracy theorist and although some of it may sound
nutty, you can bet your gluteus maximus that some of it is true. Also, what
stopped earlier presidents from making predictions for what might happen
in the future ? I fail to see your point...
