What would you Think of a SH Realism Mod? Custom.. -

not the same as the one as the servers can use. a custom one. aspects similar to CKR but more refined. and it will include every new weapon. more of an update of the old CKR for MOHAA. what do you all think? good idea, or just busy work? thanks.

I'm not buying SH until CKR is updated and in use on SH servers. Also waiting until the server admins turn fast run off.

MPowell, will you also correct the firing rates of some weapons? -> Mp40 and Stg44 fire too fast, getting 700 rpm like the Thompson instead of the 500 rpm they had historically (if you read the comment in the .tik files, it will say that the "500 rpm seems too slow ingame"...)

yeah, i will be paying close attention to the comments that EA posted in the Tiki files. i'm going to take CKR and add-on to it. Of course, with CrowKing's permission. If i can ever get hold of him. hehe
this is what i will do about the scope. ill use the old kar top/bottom and apply it to the new G43. what do ya think of that?

I already made one, no rockets though. Its going to be running on DK666's server soon enough. It is based off of my SD Realism mod which is running on AA. He just needs to add the file to the server. Which should occur with in the next day or two. The SDR mod files are the SH files, not the AA files. Mainly because the new scripts have added features, including extra ammo.
I also extracted Malta from the Demo for multiplay. Heres the link,[url:3ccba]http://207.137.168.251/downloads/shmaps/Malta.zip[/url:3ccba] It took some figuring out what variouse textures were needed from the files. So its very possible I added too many. But I have run around the map and can't seem to find anything missing. If you do find some let me know.
I haven't submitted Malta to aa.com yet. I will though. Try it out here and let me know if you find anything wrong.

Oh I forgot to give my respects to Crow King, his mod is what I based my first mod on also. I never released it though, only to DK666, (he's my Head Admin). If it wasn't for Crow Kings mod and DK666 having such a great server I would have stopped playing MOHAA along time ago. Now I admin and have a great time with the mods.

Well DK666's server is up and running the SDR mod. So far as I can tell it seems to be doing well. I didn't get to stay on all night to see the reactions. But there were no complaints. The server IP is 207.137.168.185 I would like to hear some feed back on the mod, I know not everyone will like what I have done with it. But you can't please everyone.

I submitted my realism mod to aa.com, so now its just a matter of waiting for it to be posted. I also submitted my no intro mod. And I gave them the link to download the Malta for the full version too. I unfortunately don't have the mail space. I use free hotmail oOo: And the file is about 8mb's.

Yes I have already completed the mod for SH. The MOHAA files are different from the SH files. So I don't think they would have worked for anyone who just threw it in thier /mainta folder. The =SDR= mod can be found in use on DK666 =SDR= server. ip: 207.137.168.185 The only complaint which was for one small group was the BAR fired too fast and did too much damage. This debate has been dealt with back during MOHAA. There was more than one model of the BAR in service during WW II. I studied historical footage of the BAR being fired and some "Hollywood" stuff too. The conclusion is that there are BAR's which do fire faster than the chugger in the base game list. As for the damage, its relatively equal to the StG. Higher by a few points. I have had a succesfull run on the SD realism mod for DK666's mohaa server for quite some time now. People seem to come back all the time for it. You can't make everyone happy.
Also the version running on DK's SH server is a non rocket version. I submitted both versions to alliedassault.com but this was just the other day and as we can see these files take awhile to be posted for the public.

Id love to see a realism mod in SH. All the weapons need it. I cant stand the Quake feel of the game. Although i do like Quake

Glad to hear it CK. DK666 seems to be pretty happy with the work I did for him on this one so far. I can't wait to see what you've done. At first I wasn't going to bother putting it out for anyone to use besides DK666's server. But since I didn't see anything posted for downloads I figured I mind as well get something out there for the realists....

Yeah, I went through made my own realism mod as well. Only run the server part time but the built in realism mode was just pissing me off. Just copied most of the settings used in the original CKR since it was about the best I'd played. Sooooo much better than the built in "realism" crap EA stuck us with...
