Happy Holidays. Drive safe (makes my job easier if you live near me!) Enjoy your Thanksgiving if you celebrate.

We are at times! We have union jobs where we can earn double time. About 2 yrs ago, a sophmore cop took all the OT and Union jobs he could get. The lucky bastard took 95K home on a 45k/yr base salary. Poor guy had no life!

lol i bet he was fat as shit and had acne craters in his face..
not to be mean but alot of cops down here in austin all have big guts(fat), i was just wondering is there a certain time you guys have to run a mile in or something cuz if that was tru i think there would be alot more skinny cops.

2/3 of our department are skinny guys, other 1/3 are big guys. They look fat but are muscle. They may do what Chicago PD is doing. They get a bonus for taking and passing the state POWER test (Police Officer Wellness Evaulation Report). I tell you the agility test to get in was easy, but the state tests were a killer. My age catagory had to do the following on the first day in camp: Sit and reach (to toes easy), 1 minute sit-ups 37+ in a min, run 1.5 miles in 13.46 or better, and bench 98% of your body weight. You have 12 weeks of training, the killing part was if you did the bare minimums in the tests, you were forced to run 5 miles a day every other day. If you were lucky (LIKE ME!!!) you got the option to workout in the gym instead. I chose to run a few times, but I don't like running!!! In the end, nothing felt better than receiveing my certificate of passing the state courses.

I'm gonna be a cop too (hopefully), and our department requires that you run 1.5 miles in 13 minutes as well. Kinda pathetic, I can walk that in 13 minutes. How long have you been in the force, punk? I would guess not long, since you are a patrolman (no offense, they all start there). I wanna work my way up to being a narc agent someday.

Happy Thanksgiving all.
Don't forget to watch the Pats vs Loins, in their old uniforms.
Go Pats!

Hey guys,
Just thought I would extend my Happy Holidays to you as well. Oh man, I am so wasted right now. We ate a huge dinner, drank wine. My cousin and I played some Madden on PS2, drank wine. He beat me 49-45 with the Eagles, we then drank some wine. Oh yeah. Things after 7PM are a blur.
Anyways, take it easy, and don't drink too much, or else you'll end up like me...alone, and posting messages in a forum. I rule. Rock.
