Making a sound mod for your gun? -

hi im new here,
anyways my problem is that im making a new skin (for the ppsh) and i wanted to know if you people know of any turorials to help me out?
also is there a way i can mod the title of the gun too? like switching it from "ppsh smg" to "suomi smg"?

If you want to change the sound for your gun, you need to find the tik for it and the sound file (i dont know wat pak it is located in )
but there is sometimes a problem.
I made a sound mod for the SMG and ther would be a delay then the new sound then the old sound.
Ask the guys who made CN to help ya they should know

I dont think its too hard, just cut down a .wav sound file so that it starts exactly before the firing, then rename it to the same name as of the original. Use pakscape to make a .pk3 of your new sounds, and your all set. biggrin:

not sure if this is a joke anymore so ill say what I know.
yeah you can just rename the sound to exactly like the one in pak3 to mod any single sound.
say for instance though you want the m1 garand to reload witha clip and youve already done the work of changing the animations around (quite simple once ya figure it out) and you want the garand's reload sound to be the same one you used for the BAR. in the tik there is a line under the reload skc's line where it sets what sound to use.

entry sound bar_snd_reload
just use the bar's line instead of the garand's like above in the tik and they will both use the same sound. same goes for any sound (all are declared in the tik) including fire, ammopickup, weaponpickup, empty, etc.

well shit on me and call me Betty Sue. My first post on here was asking about a winamp skin lol. I had already been sending mods to this site far before I joined the forums though. oh well at least ya got answered eh.
