Default help with running server with xp - 12-30-2002, 11:38 AM

alright the other day i ran a server from comp for practice and had no problems while running windows 98. yesterday i went out and bought the xp home upgrade for my comp. now when i run a server no can join. The funny thing is before i couldnt join my own dedicated server but now i can join my own dedicated server through port 12204. if someone knows the problem please help me out. also i am running my c onnection through the connection thing on xp if that has to do anything with it.

1) XP Home Edition sucks. Get XP Pro.

2) I don't think you should be able to join your own dedicated server from the same machine.

3) Are you using a router/firewall software?
