try removing any old blood mods. You will need a new one for SH

I used to get the same issues. Try to check the settings on Texture Compression. If it's checked, uncheck it, or vice versa. Might help.

Default spearhead video problems - 01-07-2003, 07:15 AM

thanks guys i've had so many mods over the time i've had m/o that i don't know which ones to get rid of for blood, i've taken out the obvious ones. i've also tried Texture Compression options too with no luck. i'm fairly sure it is to do with an old blood mod as i have noticed that some of the squares only appear after i have shot someone. how do i find out which mods are installed for blood only.

thanks again guys for your help.

If you can't tell by the filename I'm not sure how you'll figure it out. Maybe remove them all and replace them one at a time?

To avoid this in the future, rename all your downloaded pk3s:
User - Blood - name.pk3
User - Skin - name.pk3
User - Sound - name.pk3
User - Map - name.pk3
etc, etc...

Just a suggestion...

Yeah, this is a great system. Rude used this for the AA.COM server when we had it up to keep everything organized.

I'd say remove all the other mods and reinsert them one by one to see what fixes it.

Default mods & problems with S/H - 01-12-2003, 05:44 AM

yeh thanks guys, i just un-installed both games mohaa + s/head , i thought it was about time i had a clear out anyway. re-installed both and it is a mod that is causing the problems, i'm just glad it's not a hardware fault somewhere. anyway you are right about mods & renaming them so you know what they are, an excellent idea chaps. you all know what it's like when you get into a new game, so excited about getting things better and running the same bits n bobs as everyone that all good reasoning goes out the window. at the start i even downloaded some mods that turned out to be intentionally infected with viruses. i learned a very valuable lesson that day i can tell you. anyway thanks again guys, i'll look forward to killing you all on the field of honour.
