M cry: y copy of MOH:AA that I bought is startin' to look a little scratchy. Anyone know how I can copy the disk? I tried Roxio's disc copier, but it doesn't work. Any help out there?

We can't post EXACTLY how to do this over these forums, because doing so can also be used for illegal distribution of the game. I'm not saying you would do this, but some other bum could. Look into a proggie called CloneCD, that's all I'll say.

Is it illegal to make a personal backup copy? I hear different opinions on this.

sometimes, some games allow for one personal backup copy in their EULA, but it's also illegal to smoke pot but look at how well that works

What Strik0r said. Basically, if you legally own a purchased copy of the original software, you are free to make copies and have copies of it, even if they're from your CD, or someone elses, AKA warezed.
