Newt, if you can't help, don't spam, please.

You need to find the tik files for the guns (gunname.tik) and find the line called "zoom" (I think, either that or "scope", but I'm fairly sure it's zoom). It should say "zoom 20", so just lower the number a bit to shorten the distance the gun zooms in, or raise it to increase the distance. I'll assume you know how to put it back in a pk3 and stuff, so I won't explain that.

Sorry, but I forget what pak the tik files are in. Just open them with Winzip, extract all of the files from all of the paks onto a folder on the desktop, and you never need to worry about picking the right pak again. =)

Thanks I will look for that. I had never thought of just unzipping all the main pak files that should clear up a lot of my confusion in being able to find things. Thanks

Default zoom - 02-14-2003, 01:08 PM

in a realism mod, the higher the number for zoom the less it does. trust me, i know from experience.

I was just trying to set it up client side first but I will try it server side and see if I accomplished it. I was just using it as a client side for just a scope mod at this time to make the game harder to play as a sniper but if it is not possible then I will stop wasting my time.

yes they are in pak6 but i suggest if you weant to mod the ones the game uses having a look at the ones in pak0.

also you can't make mods that effect wepon charictorists only sounds client side.
