Default Damn SH pacth won't install. - 03-13-2003, 11:59 AM

I can download the pacth for spearhead v 2.11. But when I try to extract the files it shows up with an error saying "The Contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again". I have windows XP. I tried downloading from all the other sites from http://www.ea.com but they all show up with the same error please help me. I am clueless eek:

I have XP as well and I haven't had this problem, so your OS shouldn't be the problem.

Delete it, then redownload it. There really isn't anything else you can do.

Maybe first delete all of your temporary internet files, and then re-download it. Maybe Internet Explorer grabs the file from its 'cache'?

By the way, I got my 2.11 patch off EA's servers. Works fine.

Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and choose properties or go to the Internet Options in the Control Panel.

Click delete files...and they're gone.

You sure? Do you have the same version patch? (US/UK)

PS: Try getting V2.15 now, instead of 2.11

I believe you need to have 2.11 installed before you install 2.15.

Among other things, 2.15 is too small to contain the Malta map and the Gewehrgranate rifle.
