Default Video problem - 04-06-2003, 11:45 PM

[img]A buddy had to reformat his drive. When he reinstalled mohaa he got weird images. His screen was black with yellow and white lines where buildings ought to be.
He had the latest nvidia drivers and dx9 installed.
I got him to install nvidia 40.72 drivers which I use and to put in dx8.1.
Still no go.
He has a Ti 4400

Any ideas?

1) Did he patch to V1.11?

2) Make sure he runs Auto-Configure in the MOH folder.

3) Did he install any maps/mods? If so, try removing them and try again.

Friend of mine had the 'OpenGL is missing' problem. Told him to install the nVidia drivers. No go. Uninstall/Reinstall of MoHAA resolved the problem.

Don't know why this helped. Maybe when MoHAA doesn't find OpenGL during its initial install it doesn't install the necessary files? Anyway, reinstalling helped.

I fail to grasp why it didn't work with DX9/latest Detonators, but since you've downgraded the drivers as well as DirectX, I suggest re-installing MoHAA.
